Commerce City is holding a contest for residents to design the Turnberry and Villages at Buffalo Run East neighborhood parks, which are part of the city’s voter-approved capital improvement program. Scheduled to open in 2016, these new park sites will include playgrounds, multi-use fields, picnic shelters and restrooms. Public meetings will be held in April to obtain input on the park themes and elements. For those unable to attend the meetings, voting ballots will be available online, at the civic center and recreation center.
