Commerce City Police Department seeking community assistance in identifying auto theft suspects

On April 9, 2015, the Commerce City Police Department received 13 reports of vehicles being broken into and one auto theft in the River Run East neighborhood, between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.

The suspects are looking for vehicles that are unlocked and have money or other loose items like knives, beats, laptops, credit cards, wallets and vehicle keys.

The Commerce City Police Department is seeking community assistance in identifying the persons involved in this incident as well as the whereabouts of the dark-colored Sedan:

• Two females. One female is described as being a white, light brown or blonde hair and small build. Second female is describes as being white, dark long hair and small build.

• Third suspect. Unknown male

• Vehicle information: 4-door dark-colored sedan

The police department wants to remind residents to “Lock It or Lose It” and keep their valuables safe.

• For your safety and the safety of your property, please close and lock your garage overhead and side doors. It is a good idea to keep the garage closed even if you are in backyard.

• Remove vehicle and home keys from your vehicle.

• Lock your vehicle.

• Do not leave loose items like electronics, money, purses and wallets in your vehicles.

• Call 911 immediately if suspicious vehicles or people are seen in your neighborhood. It is helpful if you can provide a description of the vehicle and the suspicious persons. Do not attempt to contact or detain anyone.
