Commerce City hosts 30th annual pancake breakfast May 2 event raises money for senior recreation pro

Rise and shine to delicious pancakes and sausage at the 30th annual pancake breakfast Saturday, May 2, at the Commerce City Recreation Center, 6060 E. Parkway Drive. The annual pancake breakfast raises money for senior programs at the Commerce City Recreation Center.

“The pancake breakfast is the senior center’s largest fundraiser and provides assistance in creating a positive quality of life for our older adult population,” said Derrick Tripp, senior programs supervisor. “This is going to be a great event with delicious food and fun entertainment the whole family can enjoy.”

The ticket cost is $4 per plate and can be purchased in advance at www.c3gov.com/register, using the code 4601.208. Tickets are also available at the door on the day of the event. Pancakes are provided by the Flippin’ Flapjacks food truck and local sponsors include McDonalds and Save-A-Lot food stores.

To highlight the 30th anniversary, the whole family is invited to enjoy FREE activities in the Commerce City Recreation Center gym. Kids can jump in a bouncy house, create art in the crafts corner and more. Adults can also bid on the quilting and sewing club’s fiber arts and crafts at the silent auction.
