Downed Tree Branches Assistance and Recycling

As a result of the snowfall over the weekend, many residents are calling the City concerned about disposal of downed tree branches. Citizens have a few options available to them:

• Waste Management will accept tree branches for disposal if they are fit inside the 96-gallon container. Branches should not be disposed of in the recycling container.
• Staff has arranged for residents to drop off their tree branches at the MSC located it 8602 Rosemary St. There will be a sign posted at the drop-site by the Fire Department building, where people usually drop off Christmas trees). This service will be available through Friday, May 22. Staff will mulch the tree branches and use them in various locations, as appropriate.
• If a senior does not have a family member or friend that can help cut limbs to fit in the trash containers, they can call the Senior Hub at 303-426-4408 to get assistance.
