The 96th Avenue Extension is now open!

The city wants to thank you for your patience as the 96th Avenue Extension opened this past weekend. A dedication ceremony was held in early May to celebrate the new connection between 96th Avenue and Tower Road, but heavy rainfall has delayed crews in making final preparations to ensure the safety of the road.

The two-lane road provides drivers another transportation alternative across the city from Interstate 76 to E-470. Now that the extension is open, Buckley Road south of 96th Avenue and East 88th Avenue to Tower Road will remain closed.
