Help support art, culture and education within the community. Commerce City is seeking individuals to serve as members on the Cultural Council and Quality Community Foundation.
“Serving on municipal boards and commissions is a great way to get more involved in the community,” said City Manager Brian McBroom. “We encourage residents to learn more about how the city operates and help build a Quality Community for a Lifetime.”
Residents are needed for the following positions:
• Two Cultural Council vacancies. These members serve a 3-year term to help advance and preserve art, music, theater and dance within the city, with events such as Music in the Park and community art shows. Meetings are 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month.
• Seven Quality Community Foundation vacancies. These members service a three year term to support and obtain funding for post-secondary education and youth recreational program scholarships. The foundation also provides grants to fund various non-profit organizations which benefit Commerce City residents.
