FLU SHOTS, MENS AND WOMEN’S WELLNESS AREAS, OPEN ENROLLMENT ONSITE - Take time to care for yourself and your family with free and affordable health services at the city’s eighth annual 9Health Fair/Feria de Salud. Men, women and children can take advantage of the screenings and services during the event Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Adams City High School, 7200 Quebec Parkway, from 7 a.m. – noon.
Identification is not required to take participate in more than 20 free health screenings including blood pressure, children’s and teen’s vision, type 1 diabetes screening for children, kidney screening and rheumatoid arthritis. Low-income and uninsured attendees can receive free flu shots. Cost-effective screenings are available for blood chemistry, blood count, InsureFit Colon cancer take-home kits, hemoglobin A1C, flu shots, vision, oral health and more.
Limited appointments on a first come, first serve basis are available for free mammograms, breast exams and pap smears. Medical practitioners will be onsite to answer medical questions for children and adults, offering referrals for further treatments. Wellness and nonprofit resources are also available to improve health and fitness, including information on the Affordable Care Act open enrollment process.
