Commerce City honored seven local businesses who achieved great success last year at the eighth annual Commerce City Business Appreciation Awards event. Held at the Yellow Rose Event Center, the breakfast featured a keynote from Ardent Mills Chief Executive Officer Dan Dye, who highlighted the firm’s recent corporate relocation to metro Denver and the company's history with Commerce City.
City Council members and emcee Susie Wargin presented awards in the following categories:• Businesses On the Move: A.R. Wilfley & Sons, Inc., Commerce City Family Dentist, Denver Machine Shop, and Old Dominion Freight Line• Entrepreneurial Spirit Award: Stryker By Design, Inc.• Pam Downs Lilac Award for Leadership: Redd Iron, Inc.• Business of the Year Award: United Parcel Service
