Attend One Of The Free Events With Food, Games And Resources - COMMERCE CITY, COLO. (July 25, 2016) – Neighborhoods across Commerce City will come together August 2 in America’s National Night Out, hosting events to raise awareness about crime prevention activities in the city. Residents will have a chance to interact with officers who routinely work their neighborhood, learn about the department’s approach to reducing crime, and new initiatives that are making the community safer. In addition, the department will have resources available for residents on a wide variety of topics, including traffic and home safety.
"This is great opportunity for neighborhoods and law enforcement to come together and let criminals know we’re working together,” said Officer Elizabeth Couture. "This is done by meeting new neighbors and building bonds with the officers that patrol their community.”
Join one of the events happening in your neighborhood, from 6-8 p.m. Participating neighborhoods so far include:• Access Housing at 6978 Colorado Blvd.• Holly Park at 5520 E. 60th Ave.• Villages at Buffalo Run at 11613 Fraser St.• Southlawn/Reunion at 10259 Richfield St.• Our Savior Lutheran Church and Historical Society at 6770 Monaco St.• 15858 E. 98th Pl.• 6060 Pontiac St.• 9837 Kittredge St.• Iglesia Jehova es Mi Guerrero at 6638 Monaco St.• River Run West at 10919 E. 116th Ave.• Madonna Plaza/Prairie Rose Plaza at 6251 Kearney St.• Southlawn/Reunion at 10127 Quintero St.• River Run East at 11420 Moline St.
