Wayside horn repairs complete at E. 96th Avenue and Highway 2

The wayside horn at the BNSF railway crossing near E. 96th Avenue and Highway 2 is back to operating as normal after repairs were completed on the afternoon of August 17. The horn system had been down for about one week after being severely damaged in an automotive crash. With the wayside horn functioning again, trains are no longer required to sound their horns as they approach and pass through this railroad crossing.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of nearby residents who were affected by this service outage and the resulting train horn noise.
