The last Free Landfill Day of 2016 is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Republic Services Tower Landfill (8480 Tower Rd.). Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to rid yourself of bulk items or large quantities of trash that may not fit in your regular curbside garbage can. All residents can bring one load to the landfill for FREE with proof of residency!- No charge for cars, vans, SUVs and the first 5 yards for trucks & trailblazers- Must wear reflective safety vest while unloading- All loads must be covered- Appliances with refrigerants must have certification of chlorofluorocarbon removal- Mattresses & box springs are subject to a fee of $30 each- NOT ACCEPTED: electronics, tires, car batteries, used oil, hazardous materials/liquids, etc.

Green Yard Waste Drop-Off EventSaturday, Nov. 58 a.m. – 1 p.m. NEW LOCATION: former Mile High Greyhound Park site (enter at E. 62nd Avenue and Parkway Drive)
Dispose of your compostable green waste from residential lawns at the former Mile High Greyhound Park site on Saturday, Nov. 5. All collected material goes to a composting facility rather than the landfill. Proof of residency is required, no businesses or contractors allowed.
Acceptable materials include:- Leaves- Grass clippings- Tree limbs (cut to no more than 8 feet in length)- Weeds, flowers, other plant debris - Sawdust
Items NOT accepted include:- Lumber, plywood or other construction debris- Sod or dirt- Fencing- Rock, brick or flower pots- Cactus or palm branches - Animal droppings - Any non-organic or hazardous materials
