Fall Green Yard Waste Drop-Off Event Nov. 5

If you’ve got leaves, grass clippings, tree branches and other compostable yard waste piling up from your fall yard work, take advantage of the city’s last Green Yard Waste Drop-Off Event of 2016 on Saturday, November 5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

NEW LOCATION: This event is being held at the former Mile High Greyhound Park site. Enter at the intersection of E. 62nd Avenue and Parkway Drive to drop off your compostable yard waste FREE of charge with proof of residency. 

All collected material goes to a composting facility rather than the landfill.

Acceptable materials include:
- Leaves
- Grass clippings
- Tree limbs (cut to no more than 8 feet in length)
- Weeds, flowers, other plant debris 
- Sawdust 

Items NOT accepted include:
- Lumber, plywood or other construction debris
- Sod or dirt
- Fencing
- Rock, brick or flower pots
- Cactus or palm branches 
- Animal droppings 
- Any non-organic or hazardous materials

All items are subject to individual review. Contact the Public Works Department at 303-289-8150 with questions about eligibility of specific items. No businesses or contractors allowed.
