Sidewalk Repairs Happening Around the City Through December

Starting soon and continuing throughout December, crews will make safety improvements and repair trip hazards on concrete sidewalks in locations across the city. In conjunction with this routine concrete work, more significant concrete replacement will take place in front of the Commerce City Civic Center at the intersection of E. 60th Avenue and Trenton Street.

Concrete construction happening near the civic center is part of bringing RTD bus service to the area with the new Route 62, which is scheduled to begin service early next year. Route 62 will connect the civic center, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and the business district surrounding E. 60th Avenue and Vasquez Boulevard to RTD’s Central Park Station and rail service along the A Line. To accommodate the bus service, existing curb alignments must be changed. The main civic center entrance will remain open during the work period.

Most other concrete repairs around the city are small and will be completed quickly with only short-term impacts on use of public sidewalks. As always, construction timelines are subject to change due to inclement weather and other factors.
