Top Five Holiday Events in Commerce City

Bring Your Family to Enjoy These Annual Commerce City Events

18th Annual Winterfest in Commerce City
Kickoff the holiday season on Dec. 3 at Winterfest and enjoy a pajamas and pancake party with Santa from 9:30 a.m.-Noon at this FREE event at Adams City High School, 7200 Quebec Pkwy. Other fun activities include: photos with Santa, storytelling with the Sugar Plum Fairy, holiday crafts, hot chocolate and cider, holiday tree, and children’s pajama parade. Santa will arrive by special delivery on a fire truck! The event is sponsored by Adams 14 Education Foundation, Adams City High School, Commerce City Business and Professional Association, City of Commerce City, and South Adams County Fire District.

Annual Tree Lighting & Art Show
Join the countdown on Dec. 5 and watch the festive lighting of the lights at the Commerce City Civic Center, 7887 E. 60th Ave. View the Adams14 School District student art show sponsored by the Commerce City Cultural Council, enjoy warm refreshments and snacks, sing along with professional carolers, and mingle with elected officials and staff. This FREE event is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. with the tree lighting ceremony beginning approximately at 5:30 p.m.

Mingle with Kringle
Santa Claus is coming to Buffalo Run Golf Course, 15700 E. 112th Ave. in Commerce City on Dec. 10 from 1-4 p.m. Bring your camera and take a photo with Santa. Little ones will also enjoy holiday crafts. Enjoy light refreshments provided by the Bison Grill and relax next to the stone fireplace at this FREE event.

Cookies and Caroling
The Commerce City Older Adult/Senior Center has several fun activities planned to get adults 55 and older in the holiday spirit. The public is invited to enjoy an afternoon of lunch and shopping on Dec. 9 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Commerce City Older Adult/Senior Center, located in the Commerce City Recreation Center, 6060 E. Parkway Dr. Enjoy savory homemade potato soup, fresh rolls and dessert for lunch, and then visit the Santa’s Goodfriends Holiday Shop to pick out the perfect gently used decoration that your house is missing for the holiday season. The cost is $3.50 per person at the door. Donations of gently used holiday items are accepted at the recreation center until Dec. 7 and all proceeds go to the Goodfriends Scholarship Fund, providing recreation scholarships to adults 55 and older.

On Dec. 21, seniors are invited to sing along with the Music Makers choir and enjoy holiday tunes at the Commerce City Recreation Center from 1-3 p.m at the popular Cookies & Caroling event. Attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite holiday treat to share with others at this FREE event.

New Year’s Eve at Bison Grill
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Bison Grill at Buffalo Run Golf Course, 15700 E. 112th Ave. Enjoy a prix fixe menu with a champagne toast for $39 per person. View the full menu online at BuffaloRunGolfCourse.com. Seating available from 4:30-9 p.m. on Dec. 31. Call 303-289-7700 for reservations.
