Commerce City residents are invited to help prevent pollution by properly disposing of chemical waste at these events hosted by the Tri-County Health Department (TCHD). Accepted items include motor oil, antifreeze, fertilizers, pesticides, paint, tires, household cleaners/solvents and much more.

The Mow Down Pollution lawn mower exchange program helps area residents get rid of their old gasoline powered mowers, and switch to environmentally friendly electric mowers. Since 2006 we have recycled 2,428 gas mowers and put 3,292 electric mowers to work! Participants must register in advance at mowdownpollution.org. Two models of discounted Black+Decker electric mowers are available.

Rise and dine to delicious pancakes and sausage at the annual pancake breakfast. Proceeds go to the Goodfriends Scholarship program and special interest groups like the Quilting and Sewing club, as well as other drop-in groups.
