2000 - 2008 Changes
Commerce City is one of the fastest growing communities in the Denver metro area.
Changes between 2000 and 2008 include:
- Incomes rose by two-thirds, the highest increase in Denver metro-area
- Married couples with children now make up 35 percent of all households (the Colorado average is 22 percent)
- Overall poverty rate fell from 19.4 percent to 12.6 percent
- Surging homeownership rates from 60 percent to 72 percent
