City Council Meetings

City Council meetings are being held in a hybrid format with council, staff, and presenters appearing in person and via Zoom. Members of the public are invited to attend in-person or can participate in meetings remotely using the Zoom videoconferencing app or watching the meetings live on Channel 8 or at c3gov.com/video.

Regular City Council meetings on the first and third Mondays of each month include public comment opportunities. Study sessions on the second and fourth Mondays of each month will be broadcast on Channel 8 and at c3gov.com/video. No public comment is allowed at study sessions.

How to Comment at City Council Meetings

You can speak at the meeting or submit your comments in advance in a number of ways. All forms of comment hold the same weight. Registration to speak and/or advance submittal are required.

1. Written Comments (by mail or e-mail)

Submit your comments in advance for each individual meeting using one of the methods below. Comments will be part of the official meeting record, but may not be read aloud during the meeting. The deadline for the city to receive public comments is noon on the day of the meeting. Late submittals will not be accepted.

2. Comment In-Person

Attend Council Meetings in person and comment during public comment or public hearing opportunities. 

3. Live Zoom/Hybrid Meeting Participation/Comment (online or by phone)

Advance registration is required to participate in the live Zoom meeting (using a laptop, tablet or phone). Participants can join the meeting via audio only and must pre-register for security and orderly management of the electronic meeting. The deadline to register to speak is noon on the date of the meeting. Late registration will not be accepted.

  • Register for upcoming Zoom meetings using the online registration forms below (if you have an email account), or by calling the City Clerk at 303-227-8791.
  • Participants can register to comment once during public comment and/or once per agenda item.
  • Registered participants will be emailed the Zoom meeting link, ID, password, and/or call-in phone number by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting. You should not share this information.
  • When it is your turn to speak, the moderator will call your name. Please pay attention and be ready to speak when your name is called. If you do not respond or are disconnected, you may miss your chance to comment.
    • When prompted, use the "raise your hand" option via the Zoom app or press *9 on your phone’s keypad to be recognized.
    • You will be granted audio rights when you are recognized. You should begin speaking immediately. Your audio will be muted when you conclude or if your time expires.
    • No video will be allowed at this time.
    • Council policies regarding public conduct at meetings apply.

How to Watch City Council Meetings

Members of the public are encouraged to watch city council meetings live online at c3gov.com/video or on CCTV Channel 8 (HD 881). A recording of the meeting is posted the next day online at c3gov.com/video and rebroadcast on CCTV Channel 8 (HD 881).

Quasi-judicial board and commission meetings (i.e. Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment) are also being broadcast live online and on Channel 8 while being held remotely. Other board and commission meetings are not being broadcast at this time.
