Street Sweeping

The 2024 street sweeping season has arrived

Park cars off-street on scheduled sweeping days

Street Sweeper Back View

The Public Works street sweeping program addresses high traffic roadways on a year-around basis.  Dirt and debris on City of Commerce City major roadways is a contributor to air quality issues. Dirt on major roadways is tracked to residential streets when primary roadways are not swept regularly.  The schedule listed below focuses on managing major roadways on a routine basis, although some schedules may vary slightly due to inclement weather or mechanical issues.

Secondary roads and residential streets throughout the City will still be monitored for sweeping by the Public Works Hot-Shot Team, and citizen requests for service.  Requests will be addressed within 48 hours.  Your assistance will help keep streets and neighborhoods clean, make street sweeping more effective, prevent airborne dust, and keep sediment from washing into streams.

To help with the city’s sweeping efforts, residents are asked to:

  • Park all vehicles off-street between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on scheduled sweeping days
  • Trim tree limbs that hang over sidewalks and streets to a height of 15 feet above the roadway
  • Sweep sidewalks in front of homes so additional debris can be picked up by sweepers

For more information on the program, or to report a Street Sweeping request in your neighborhood visit AccessC3 or call the Public Works Department at 303-289-8150.
