Wildlife
The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge calls Commerce City home. The largest land-based, urban wildlife refuge in the United States, outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of trails, open space and a state-of-the art visitor center located within 27 square miles of open lakes, wetlands, and grasslands.
Barr Lake State Park offers premier bird watching, fishing and boating a short drive from the city's core.
Major League Soccer
One of the country's largest soccer complexes - Dick’s Sporting Goods Park - is located in Commerce City. Home to the Major League Soccer Champion Colorado Rapids, it is the only major league sports stadium outside of downtown Denver core. The park houses 24 outdoor community fields and is a preferred choice for open-air entertainment.
