Development Fees/Impact Fees

The development of land creates new or increased demands on city facilities and services, including schools, roads, water, parks and recreation facilities. The costs of providing such additional services and facilities should be borne by those who create the need. Accordingly, developers are required to contribute toward meeting the increased public service needs.

Development fees, whether in the form of fees or dedicated land, are authorized in Article IX of the Land Development Code.
