Transportation Master and Safety Action Plans

Pathway to Progress: Safely Connecting People & Places

Project Description

Commerce City is undertaking two community-wide transportation planning efforts. The Transportation Master Plan (TMP) and the Safety Action Plan (SAP) will each play key roles in addressing mobility in our community.

The Transportation Master Plan will:

  • Establish a long-range vision for how people get around and through C3.
  • Develop goals, objectives, and strategies for improving transportation in C3.
  • Identify and prioritize projects to improve safety and mobility for walking, bicycling, driving, and riding transit in C3.

The Safety Action Plan will:

  • Focus on current concerns and needs for transportation safety for walking, biking, driving and transit users.
  • Evaluate current safety concerns and “hot spots” where a large quantity or the most severe crashes occur.
  • Identify safety improvements to address crash concerns.
