Residents are invited to pick up free flower seed packets at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center (6060 E. Parkway Dr.) or Bison Ridge Recreation Center (13905 E. 112th Ave.) on Friday, April 19 starting at 8 a.m. Seeds will be available on a first come, first served basis until they are gone.
Trees provide oxygen, shade, and give life to neighborhoods while also absorbing stormwater and pollutants to benefit the environment. Commerce City has been recognized as a “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 33rd consecutive year in 2024. City council has declared April 19 as Arbor Day in Commerce City.
