About the Public Art Exhibition Program

The public art exhibition program is a means to build a creative community within the city, establishes facilities as cultural resources, and celebrates local artists. Art exhibits allow the public to share experiences and appreciate special interests and talents.

The city currently hosts temporary art exhibitions at its two recreation centers

  • Bison Ridge Recreation Center, 13905 E. 112th Ave.
  • Eagle Pointe Recreation Center, 6060 Parkway Dr.

Temporary rotating public art exhibits celebrate the work of artists (new and established) who reside and/or work in Commerce City who wish for more exposure and audiences. The exhibition program has two goals:

  1. To provide increased access to the artwork of local artists through public display
  2. To provide an avenue for public education and community building through the presentation of thematic exhibitions.
