Why are you running for council?

I'm currently the incumbent, so to rerun, and to heal and protect our commUNITY, Biosphere, resources, and future generations. 

What do you see as the three biggest opportunities for Commerce City?

To address environmental justice with cultural responsiveness and trauma sensitivity, to support public education and workforce development with a just transition to renewable and sustainable industries, and protect and provide affordable housing in safe and environmentally responsible areas for all. 

What do you see as the three biggest challenges facing the city?

Environmental racism, lack of access to universal health care, and lack of access to safe affordable housing. CommUNITY needs more benefits to thrive with businesses incentives going back to commUNITY resources not just exploiting communities productivity with no reciprocity to local tax payers. 

What does a “Quality Community for a Lifetime” mean to you?

The ability to thrive with equitable access to safe and healthy, air, land, water, and communities with access to Healthcare, public education, food justice, and affordable housing.  

What is your favorite aspect of the city?

The diversity of our communities is my favorite part with a rich history, cultural identities, and strong connections to our need to restoration to our shared Biosphere.
