How it will work:

we will set up different stations for your families to rotate through. You and your children will learn about pedestrian safety and tools we use to do our jobs such as drones and specialized vehicles that can look intimidating (but not once you've sat inside)! You'll also meet an Adams County Sheriff's Office K9 handler and his furry partner (from a distance), and have story time with our School Resource Officers.

You will register for an hour block of time, and your time at each station will be approximately ten minutes, but please feel free to stay longer at a station your child is enjoying or skip any station that doesn't work for your family. Your child will be given a goody bag at the event's start and will collect items at each station to take home at the end of the day.

We understand that some children are sensitive to loud noises and flashing lights. Therefore, we are designating two "quiet" time slots during the day in which we will not operate any of our lights, sirens, or equipment. Those unique time blocks are indicated on the registration form.

There will also be several informational tables for parents! A CCPD officer will be available to answer questions about our response to your calls for service. We will also be providing healthy snack options for hungry kids (and hungry parents).

We are working with licensed behavioral health professionals to create an environment where your family feels safe and welcome. If your child needs to step away from the event or you need a little extra help, we have behavioral and occupational therapists on hand to assist you.

Cops for Inclusion is all about you having a positive experience with us!
