New public art installations celebrated at Bison Ridge
Commerce City is dedicating five new pieces of public art and celebrating the inaugural exhibition of artwork created by Commerce City school teachers at the new Bison Ridge Recreation Center, 13905 E. 112th Ave., with a dedication ceremony June 7 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Honor Veterans at Commerce City’s Memorial Day Parade
Colorado’s largest Memorial Day parade enters its 54th year of honoring veterans Monday, May 28, 2018. The 1.5-mile parade route kicks off at 10 a.m. at E. 64th Avenue and Newport Street, ending near the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center at 6060 E. Parkway Drive.

Tower-Peña project milestone: traffic switching to new lanes, rebuilt off-ramp opens Saturday
In the first major milestone of the Tower-Peña ramp and widening project, the rebuilt westbound Peña Boulevard off-ramp and a segment of the new lanes of Tower Road are scheduled to open to traffic this weekend (weather permitting).

Railroad work impacting traffic at E. 88th Avenue and Highway 2
Starting Tuesday, May 8 and continuing through at least Thursday, May 10, drivers should expect lane closures and possible delays on E. 88th Avenue at Highway 2 due to railroad work on the BNSF tracks.
